Our first Water Lane Christmas Market is on Friday 3rd and Saturday 4th December, and we very much hope you will come along to dip your toe into some festive cheer with good food and a wander around the market. The irony of this newsletter landing in your inbox on Black Friday, surely a contender for the most commercially crazed day of the year, is certainly not lost on us. However, we have gathered a small and select group of creatives, producers and makers to set up their stalls under the stretch awning, who will be selling their handcrafted and original wares, for more thoughtful and considerate gifting, this Christmas.
Come for Water Lane hot chestnut soup, flatbreads and hot chocolate, before choosing your Christmas tree and wreath to take home and shop for beautiful and original gifts, including handmade cards and stationery, candles, baskets, skin care, charcuterie, wine and homewares.
Created in association with floral styling studio, Bloom and Burn, our wreaths are made using foliage from our neighbours on the old Tongswood Estate and a collection of dried flowers and seed heads that we grew over the summer including Ammi, Larkspur, Opium Poppy, Bupleurum. Each wreath is festively adorned with a velvet ribbon in subtle colours and costs £60.
Wreaths will be available from 1st December, and we’ll have some available to buy in the shop and available to pre-order.
As ever, we look forward to welcoming you to Water Lane,
Nick and Ian
