Summer is in full swing, but we have news of our next fair at Water Lane, which will celebrate the Harvest Festival. There will be food and drinks from the shipping container on the terrace and stalls selling interesting and beautiful pieces for the home and garden. There is free entry to all who come by foot or cycle and £5 per car to park.
Taking place on Saturday 17th September from 10am-4.30pm, this is our third fair at Water Lane. The fair is being put together by Gina Portman, a former costume designer, who now curates homeware collections and art sales, and will bring together craftspeople, artists, brewers and bakers to sell their wares underneath the stretch awning on the terrace.
Stall holders at the Autumn Fair will include Norse Vintage, Natural Dye Works, Be Still Ceramics, Sally Hampson Blankets, Wini Tapp paperwork mobiles, Rapson de Pauley bone beads and leather belts, Sussex Willow, Myserscough & Mairs, O Moon, and Craft in the Field who will be making corn dollies with children.
Potted plants, garden accessories and seasonal jams and preserves from the Pantry will be available to purchase in the Water Lane shop. The flower beds are rocketing along and there will be bunches of cut flowers for sale, including dahlias, chrysanthemums and sunflowers, in the deep marmalade, russet and raspberry tones of early autumn.
